Today’s Express Entry draw is the sixth of the month. It follows a PNP draw on 23 June, a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on 12 June, and another small PNP draw on 10 June.

Thus far, IRCC has issued 41,845 ITAs through the Express Entry system in 2025.

Express Entry in 2025 has primarily held draws focused on PNP candidates, with the remainder of Express Entry ITAs dedicated to CEC candidates, candidates with French-language proficiency, and those in Express Entry’s priority categories:

A shift in draw trends?

Today’s CEC draw marks the first consecutive week of selections (on IRCC’s biweekly schedule) for CEC candidates since the start of February.

Between February and the start of June, IRCC largely abstained from CEC draws, choosing instead to focus on draws for PNP candidates, and (to a lesser degree) category-based selections. These selections also featured significantly smaller draw sizes than have been seen today.

While today’s draw could mark a shift to more frequent CEC draws that feature a larger number of ITAs issued, it remains too early to determine this with certainty.
